Blog Action Day

Well, Today is Blog Action Day, and yes I'm posting late, because it's been a busy day at the day job, but better late than never, right. This year it's about fighting Poverty. There are a number of ways to fight poverty, you can donate to your local shelter, either time or money. Start a class, like a basic computer class, at a community center so people can better them selves, show people how to make a resume in a word processor and post online to find a better job. One site, where you can donate money, to help people trying to just "make it by" is http://www.digitalcharity.com/ but make sure you read what the person is doing and do a little research, because, like in everything, there's always scammers. Also, you can use your donation as a right off on your taxes. So, get out there help people, you'll feel a lot better. :)

indeed. it does feel good to be able to help. :)

for my part, i turn to sites like freerice (rice donation), kiva (microfinance), and goodsearch (donation per search), as ways to help alleviate poverty online. i also put up their banners on my blog. :)

saw this post via the blog action day site. it's great that you're participating. :)
