Blog Action Day

Well, Today is Blog Action Day, and yes I'm posting late, because it's been a busy day at the day job, but better late than never, right. This year it's about fighting Poverty. There are a number of ways to fight poverty, you can donate to your local shelter, either time or money. Start a class, like a basic computer class, at a community center so people can better them selves, show people how to make a resume in a word processor and post online to find a better job. One site, where you can donate money, to help people trying to just "make it by" is but make sure you read what the person is doing and do a little research, because, like in everything, there's always scammers. Also, you can use your donation as a right off on your taxes. So, get out there help people, you'll feel a lot better. :)

indeed. it does feel good to be able to help. :)

for my part, i turn to sites like freerice (rice donation), kiva (microfinance), and goodsearch (donation per search), as ways to help alleviate poverty online. i also put up their banners on my blog. :)

saw this post via the blog action day site. it's great that you're participating. :)
